European standards EN 12326 for roofing slate

To guarantee a continuous quality standard of slates for roofing and cladding, this slates has to be tested according to the EN 12326: 'Slate and stone products for discontinuous roofing and cladding'.

This standard is separated in two parts. EN 12326-1 comprises the product specification whereas EN 12326-2 defines the methods of tests.

In Germany, further requirements are defined in the 'Product Data Sheet' of the 'Central Association of the German Roofing Trade' ('Produktdatenblatt' of the Zentralverband des Deutschen Dachdeckerhandwerks).
