The Indian standard was published in 1981 and comprises the following topics:

• Determination of the bending strength
• Determination of the water absorption
• Determination of the permeability (in this case "impermeability")
• Wetting-drying cycles for the determination of the weathering resistance
• Determination of the resistance to sulphuric acid
